Without appropriate intervention, children with autism will remain dependent on others for life skills, increasing their likelihood of institutionalization, the costs of which can be staggering. Almost all children with autism benefit from ABA. It is the best known method to teach children with autism, and it is the only method with significant scientific research to support its effectiveness.
